Who is Nelson?


Nelson Rushdie, 78 follows the realistic genre and most of his themes revolve around the simple yet colorful village life. He paints rustic scenes with charm and intense fervor.  What sets apart his work is the three-dimensional (3D) quality he brings to his work which is a combination of his unusual strokes and style besides the base he uses for painting.  Like most of the artistes he uses canvas, but he also prefers crepe & crush cloth.  Each paintings is a masterpiece, and speaks volumes of his works, his thoughts and his projections. Usage of colors and his excellent color combinations depict each scene or portrait closest to neutrality. One cannot evade the fact that they are the works of great artist. 
He is qualified in “Freehand outline and model drawing” Lower grade in 1956 and highest grade in 1959 conducted by Govt. of AP. He further pursued his artistic training in “ Damerla Rama Rao School of Arts” Rajahmundry(East Godavari) under the guidance of the principal, Guru shree Varada Venkatratnam.
